The House
Le Quattro Dame occupies the second floor of a neoclassical downtown palazzo in a suave and very private style: think of it as a residence rather than a hotel in the traditional sense.
The name and the philosophy, as well as the architectural concept of the residence comes from a series of renaissance female portraits by the renowned artist Piero del Pollaiolo, incorporating the sensibility and subdued color scheme of ‘The Four Ladies’.
Architecture
Great care was taken during the restorations; the key was to respect the identity of the original spaces and breathe fresh air into the old bones of the house with elements of modern comfort and functionality.
The blend of materials and decorations lend an effortless and undoubtedly Roman character: wooden herringbone floors running through the corridors to the rooms, a color palette of muted shades providing a soft backdrop for the contemporary Italian design pieces by Meridiani, Flou, Kartell, Catellani & Smith and Viabizzuno. All rooms have opening french windows dressed in Dedar and Sahco curtains and shades, a sitting area and a spacious wardrobe. The marble and concrete bathrooms are complete with steel accessories from Agape and Gessi, Italiancotton towels and bespoke toiletries from Malin&Goetz. All rooms are equipped with European Superking beds by Flou Total Body System and Tebro Roma linen.
