The concept
Tucked discretely behind a heavy wooden door, with just a small doorbell indicating its presence, Le Quattro Dame occupies gracefully the second floor of a neoclassical downtown palazzo in a suave and very private style: think of it as a high-class residence rather than a hotel in the traditional sense.
The name and the philosophy, as well as the architectural concept of the residence comes from a series of marvelous female portraits by the renowned renaissance artist Piero del Pollaiolo, incorporating the sensibility and subdued color scheme of ‘The Four Ladies’. Great care was taken during the restorations to ensure that the property was renovated in terms of both functionality and elegance offering to its guests exceptional comfort and privacy.
Design
A dark petrol wall paint sets the stage as soon as one enters the premises: after passing by a fluid check-in desk you’ll arrive to the intimate living room where the exposed wooden beams, a wall filled with renaissance portraits and a muted dark color palette lend class and tone.
The surfaces of the property are finished with wooden herringbone flooring throughout, providing a soft backdrop for the contemporary design pieces by Meridiani, Flou, Kartell, Catellani & Smith and Viabizzuno. All rooms have opening french windows dressed in Dedar and Sahco curtains and shades, a sitting area and a spacious wardrobe. The luxurious marble and concrete bathrooms are complete with steel accessories from Agape and Gessi, Tebro Roma cotton towels and bespoke toiletries. For a perfect sleep, all rooms are equipped with the Flou Total Body System bedding and luxurious Tebro Roma linen.
